Daniel Schlinger has joined the Domaille Engineering team as the new Quality Manager for the Rochester, MN plant. Prior to taking on this role, Mr. Schlinger served as Quality Specialist at Rochester Medical Corporation in Stewartville, MN where he lead efforts for FDA 510(k) compliance on new product development efforts, along with auditing critical suppliers for compliance to FDA CFR Title 21 Part 820, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality systems requirements.

Mr. Schlinger has extensive experience as a Quality Assurance manager and machine shop supervisor in various Midwest and East Coast organizations. He has led multiple plants through FDA, ISO certification and Nadcap accreditation. He also directed compliance efforts for the European Medical Device and Canadian Medical Device Directives.

Mr. Schlinger’s new responsibilities are to accurately measure the Quality System to determine effectiveness, initiate effective corrective action as needed and update Quality System requirements for ISO 13485 compliance and certification. “I’m very pleased that Dan will be joining Domaille Engineering. He brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge to our management team. With his addition, we now have the tools and expertise to move forward as a leader for Life Science equipment and devices,” states Jim Frazer, President of Domaille Engineering.

Domaille Engineering is proud to announce that they have developed and formally released the new Domaille Engineering brand APM-HDC-5200 fiber optic polishing machine.

This new fiber optic polishing machine is the latest in the long line of innovative polishing solutions for the telecommunications and medical industries. The APM-HDC-5200 machine replaces the APM-HDC-5100 machine that has proven to the most precise and reliable machine produced in the world today. The APM-HDC-5200 machine has many unique user features which will save time and money for customers. These new features include programmable pressure and speed ramp up for controlled slow starting of the polishing cycle. The pressure has been increased to 12 pounds to accommodate more connectors featured in the AbraSave™ fixture line. Domaille has also incorporated automated polishing film counters to notify users when it is time to change the polishing film and a fully programmable maintenance section to alert the user when maintenance items should be performed.

Domaille Engineering is proud to announce that they have developed the EZ Bare Fiber Polishing Fixture.

This fixture was designed based off customer requests for an easy method to polish end face geometry on bare optical fiber, needles, laser tubes and fragile micro diameter products. This fixture features the patented AbraSave™ technology which applies a unique path to each fiber during the polishing process. The EZ Bare Fiber Fixture uses an SMA connector and a custom adapter to hold the micro diameter products. The fixture can be used to polish a wide range of products from 125µm to 750 µm diameter.

Rochester, MN, July 8, 2010 – Domaille Engineering is proud to announce that they have developed the EZ-Check Precision Wear Gage kit.

This kit is used to measure specific interfaces between the Domaille Engineering Optical Fiber Polishing Machine, fixture and fiber optic ferrules. Kit includes an easy to use gage for measuring machine mandrel wear, plus Go and NO GO gages for validating fixture mounting holes and 1.25mm & 2.5mm ferrule holes.

The US Department of State directs the ITAR program, regulating the export and import of U.S. military and defense related equipment and information. Companies receiving this certification must possess the knowledge and understanding to fully comply with ITAR, and have corporate procedures and controls in place to ensure compliance. The ITAR Registration means that Domaille Engineering is able to fully support military and defense-related projects in the United States.

Domaille Engineering announces the new APM-HDC-2400 optical fiber polishing machine

Rochester, MN, March 9, 2009 – Domaille Engineering LLC, a worldwide provider of precision engineering and manufacturing services to technology industries and a leading manufacturer of optical fiber polishing equipment, is proud to introduce the APM-HDC-2400 optical fiber polishing machine.

This new optical fiber polishing machine is specially designed as an economic choice for polishing multimode connectors.
