Optical Fiber Polishing Machines
Domaille's optical fiber polishing machines are capable of holding the close tolerances and repeatability required to consistently achieve superior production results when measuring apex offset, radius of curvature, fiber protrusion, back reflection and under-cut. Two factors are of utmost importance when selecting a polishing machine: Yield and throughput. Yield is an indicator of quality and repeatability. Throughput is a measure of productivity. The Domaille polishers are leaders in the industry in terms of both yield and throughput.
Polishing Fixtures
Domaille designs and engineers a wide range of fixtures to polish different styles of optical fiber connectors. Our fixtures support Flat, Physical Contact (PC), Super Physical Contact (SPC), Ultra Physical Contact (UPC) and Angled Physical Contact (APC) polishing. We also offer multiple-fiber (MT) connector fixtures for Flat, Physical Contact and Angled polishing. All of our fixtures can be used across all models of our machines. New designs feature 18 or even 24 ports for higher production polishing. Also, customers often make special requests, leading to the design and fabrication of custom fixtures.
Accessories and Parts
Domaille offers rubber polishing pads and various external replacement parts for polishing machines. We also offer field-replaceable connector inserts for fixtures with plastic inserts. All other fixtures are designed with factory replaceable connector inserts. Replaceable connector inserts eliminate the expense of replacing the entire fixture or working beneath the fixture capacity when inserts are damaged.
